Product of the Month!

It's time for my Product of the Month review.

This months is.................

Avon Supershock Gel Liner Pencil.

This is an eyeliner pencil but instead of just the normal kohl pencil its actually a gel. I love this because i am a massive fan of gel liners as they just don't move and this is exactly the same. Once applied that's it for the day. Plus it is very highly pingmented which means it gives a great colour, as I am sure you have noticed is always a big selling point for me. They are extremely creamy and glide on beautifully and they rival Urban Decays 24/7 eyeliner. If I had a choice I would definately pick these any day of the week! Not only because these liners are only £6 compared to Urban Decays £11 but as I said they are just as good if not better. I would say there are a make up bag essential!

It comes in two standard colours Black (always a good one to have) and Silver. And at the moment there is two limited edition shades Blackberry and Golden Fawn. All fab colours!

Sleek MakeUp - Must Have Brand

I have been using Sleek MakeUp for a while and I think it is absolutely amazing and if you haven't tried it yet you need too!

It is available in larger Superdrug so is a high-street make up brand but personally I feel the quality is definately on par with some of the more expensive brands. It is a range that has everything from eyeshadow palletes to foundations to highlighters at amazing prices for the best quality!

I haven't tried everything from the range but this is what I have tried.....

Molten Metal

Sleek describe it as.... Molten Metal is a highly pigmented metallic cream eyeshadow duo.
The palette consists of 2 gloriously rich and highly pigmented metallic creams that ignite the skin with intensity. The formulation is soft and fluid-like allowing easy application.

I love this it is almost the double of the Illamasqua Liquid Metal and it is just as fabulous! It stays on all day long with minimal creasing (there is  a small amount but it is a cream shadow. Like all Sleek products it is incredibly highly pigmented and looks like pure gold on the lid. And, it is only £7!!

Eyeshadow Palettes

I love all the Sleek i-Divine palettes. Again they are very highly pigmented and there are 12 shades per palette. All the palettes have a lovely mix of metalic, satin and matte finishes so you have a large selecetion. They go on so easily and are just a delight to work with, extremely blendable, bang on trend and just amazing. If you want to invest in some new eyeshadow palettes check out Sleek's collection. Once again they are amazingly priced just £6.49 for a palette!

True Colour Lipstick

Another amazing product by Sleek is their True Colour Lipstick retailing at only £4.00! And you guessed it I love it! Extremely highly pigmented, lovely creamy lipstick that makes your lips feel nourished as well as looking fabulous. There are a tonne of colours to choose from so you will 100% find one thats right for you. Definately a welcome edition to my make up collection!

So, as you can probably tell I absolutely love this brand. Sleek MakeUp ticks every single box for me. Its excellent quality, available on the high street unlike other brands so it is so easily accessible and most importantly it is so reasonably priced (which I am sure is very important to a lot of people at the moment, it certainly is for me).

I love, love, love this product. I will continue to buy it and no doubt will own the whole range before long. If your looking for new make up to fall in love with I would definately reccommend trying out Sleek MakeUp!

Eclipse by Illamsaqua Nail Polish Review

As you will soon be able to tell from this blog I am a huge fan of nail polishes (being a nail technician will probably explain my obsession, or my obsession explains my career choice). So today I am going to do a review on one of my favourite ever polishes and that is.....

Eclipse by Illamasqua!!!

This shade was actually created by a fan of Illamasqua who won a competetion in 2010. And I have to say it is extremely impressive! Unfortunately I don't think you can get it anymore...My sister got me mine for Christmas for an absolute bargain of £5 in the sale! As a brief aside I do want to point out that Illasmqua is one if not the only high end make up brand that does have sales and whats more they are excellent ones so its something for you to keep an eye out for!

Anyway, back to the matter in hand. Eclipse is a stunning navy blue shade with a gorgeous metallic finish. The application is lovely it goes on nice and smoothly but without streaking. It also dries pretty quickly which is good if you're in a rush, and if you are in a real rush it gives a lovely coverage in just one coat (I would advise two coats to see the full depth of the beautiful colour, but as I said one still looks stunning if you're in a hurry). The polish is really good quality and does last without chipping....just remember to get the most of all your polishes to use your nails as jewels not tools.

So overall this polish is utterly, brilliantly beautiful and I will definately be trying more Illamsqua colours for their superb quality.
